UNIT 3: STEP 3 - ANALYZING AND INTERPRETING THE DATA

Imagen
1 -  Analyze and interpret data. Disruptive behavior by one student also encourages other students to do the same,  which compromises the teacher's authority and ability to control the group. The  learning process for other students is affected when one or more students behave  in a disruptive manner. Constant interruptions can interfere with focus. Disruptive behavior in school is not a new phenomenon, but is still brought to peoples  attention worldwide as a major concern (Elliot & Place, 2004). Several reports show that  both teachers and students are affected by disruptiveness in the classroom. When the student work independently, the disruptiveness might be more noticeable than  when the students work together on a project.  Some students experience a need to move around more than their peers (Sigsgaard,  2006). Some movements might also be out of necessity for the student, and not  something that is done because he/she wants to be disruptive. 2- Questionnai

1- IDENTIFYING A RESEARCH PROBLEM. Specification of the problem  The disruptions caused by at-risk students in classrooms. 2- JUSTIFICATION The term at-risk is often used to describe students or groups of students who are considered to have a higher probability of failing academically or dropping out of school. A student at risk of dropping out of school is any student who, by of his or her individual needs, needs temporary or continuos intervention so as to accomplish in school and to graduate with useful options for his or her future. More and more children from troubled, chaotic homes are bringing well￾developed patterns of antisocial behavior to school. Especially as these students get older, they wreak havoc on schools. Their aggressive, disruptive, and defiant behavior wastes teaching time, disrupts the learning of all students, threatens safety, overwhelms teachers—and ruins their own chances for successful schooling and a successful life (Walker, Ramsey and G
